   YOU DONT HAVE TO WASH THEM I NEVER DID I JUST MADE SURE THEY STAYEED AWAY FROM DIRTY THINGS INTILL MY BABY WAS BORN I NEVER WATCH THEM BECAUSE I HEARD THEY WILL GET RUINED

   I did when my daughter was a baby. Stuffed animals do sit on store shelves for how long before they are purchased? Do read the tag to check for launder instructions.

   I wouldn’t bother. By the time you want to give it to him to play with (3-5 months) it won’t really matter anymore and will have the germs from your house that he’s constantly exposed to.

   If you want to, you can. I did with the stuffed toys that had instructions on how to wash. Those that didn’t, I just sprayed with Lysol. I chose the apple or berry scented kind, so the toys would still smell good. That would be your best bet if you’re truly concerned.

   I only keep the stuffed animals that can live through the washer but some dont come out so great. I would just shake off the dust or take a wet sponge over it.

   I would. Everything sent from overseas and that is made from material is coated with chemicals, to keep bugs off of them.
   My husband works with Jones Apparel, loading and unloading trucks and sometimes the chemicals are so strong smelling, they have to air out the truck before they can work.
   Toys aren’t coated as badly as clothing, but it wouldn’t hurt to be safe.
   They can be safely washed in warm water, on delicate cycle, and dried in the dryer on delicate.

   yes, its easy…put them in a pillow case, tie it shut, or use a shoe string to tie it. then wash on delicate cycle, cold water
   use the no-dye, no-scent detergent you plan to use on babies clothes, then dry in dryer same way. better safe than sorry. I’m the mom you see at the grocer, using hand wipes to sanitize the buggy lol

   I always do. You never know who/what touched them between the factory, the ship, the truck, and the store. I just toss them in the wash with the rest of the baby laundry and hang them to dry.

   lol - And I’m not the Mom with the hand wipes - I’m the one with the big bulky cover over the shopping cart so she can’t touch a single part of it!

    Yes it will help with allergies etc. I washed mine then put the in the freezer and my son doesnt have any allergies( let the dry out frist). It is always better to go over and beyond to make sure everything is just right for you new baby. and Congrats.

    I washed mine in pillowcases on a delicate cycle to avoid them getting ruined.

    Drying them naturally also helped, and then when they were dry I brushed them with an old hairbrush of mine and popped them in the tumble dryer for a few minutes to fluff them back up.

    Did the trick for me….!
